Introduction

Wistify.app is a mobile application developed by My Pharmacist House and its team.

  • It aims to help users to convert existing spreadsheets into a mobile applications without coding.
  • The free basic package includes a limit of 2 wists, a maximum of 1800 data rows and 1 GB of monthly user downloads. Additionally, 1 GB of storage is provided for the file manager feature, with 10 GB of monthly bandwidth.



How to Start Creating

NOTE: Enabling the Custom Sort option in Apps Design allows data to be displayed according to the data grid sequence. Otherwise, the data output will follow the alphabetical order of the headers.



Pros

Overall, the Wistify. app offers several noteworthy features.

  • Freemium plan (free plan with basic features).
  • Ease of use.
  • Offline installation capability.
  • Automatic database update notifications.
  • Password protection.
  • Notice board integration.
  • File manager upload for images and PDFs.



Cons

  • Consequently, users must save Excel files as CSV before importing them.
  • This limitation results in the loss of all formatting, as CSV files are plain text and cannot retain font styles, colors, cell borders, or conditional formatting.

Furthermore, Wistify provides only a basic data display of spreadsheets.

  • Headers remain visible even for blank fields.
  • The platform also lacks the ability to create multiple pages or build functional apps with calculations, embedded URLs or other interactive elements.



Tacking Google Sheets Synchronization Issues

While Google Sheets synchronization is available, the following conditions must be met to avoid issues:

  • The Google Sheet must be made public before the URL is copied.
  • The sheet must contain fewer than 65 columns.
  • The header row (first row) must not be empty.
  • Header names must be unique.
  • Headers must not contain special characters ($#[]/.).

NOTE: Automatic data synchronization with Google Sheets is unavailable. Users must manually initiate the 'sync complete' process and publish database updates.
