Calculate by QxMD and MDCalc Medical Calculator
Introduction
With the advancement in technology, there is many a medical calculator available in the App store. Some medical calculator are integrated as a feature of medical mobile applications, such as Lexicomp, Medscape, Epocrates and others.
Today, I would like to recommend two of my favourite medical calculators. The main reasons that I am recommending them are:
- Medical calculator makes the calculation to be done faster. I believe that every health care professional has a smartphone with them these days.
- Memorizing formulas became a thing of past. Although it does not mean we should not memorize equations, equations like CKD-EPI, are harder to be memorized.
- Evidence discussion or more information about the formula used is provided. This enables users to have a deeper appreciation and understanding.
- Works offline and in limited connection settings.
- FREE!!! Nothing is better than this.
